SMX (Security Matter) SMX is one of those stocks that perfectly shows how brutal—and how rewarding—the market can be.

This is not a new company. SMX has been around since the 1990s, and for many years, the stock performed exceptionally well. At its peak, around 2022, the company’s valuation ran into billions per share, with figures reported around $1.21 billion per stock before everything changed.
🚨 The Crash
Around 2023, the stock experienced a massive collapse. From billions, it fell dramatically to around $14.82 million per share, and the downward pressure continued.
By November 20, 2025, SMX hit what appeared to be its lowest low:
$4.19 per share
At that point, the stock was clearly in distress territory.
🔥 The Sudden Spike
Shortly after that low, news broke about Google partnering with SMS Security Matter. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get capital at that time—even for a small entry.
A few weeks later, the stock shocked the market.
SMX surged to about $330 per share
That’s well over a 1,000% increase in a very short period.
To put it in perspective:
If you had invested ₦600,000, you could have walked away with roughly ₦44 million within weeks.
That’s the kind of move that reminds you why people still watch beaten-down stocks.
📉 Pullback & Current Price.
As expected, the spike didn’t last.
Around December 31, the stock pulled back to about $15.59 and as of today ( January 4), it recovered slightly to $20.39 per share.
This confirms one thing: SMX is not dead—it’s volatile.
🎯 My Strategy (High Risk, Controlled Entry)
Right now, I’m not buying.
This is a falling stock, not a confirmed recovery stock. That makes it risky.
My plan is simple:
If SMX drops back to $4 or below
I’ll consider entering with small capital
Even $10, $20, $30, $40, or $50.
The goal is not greed, but observation and learning because SMX has existed for decades, there’s a chance that:
* A management change
* A business model update or
* Strategic partnerships
could keep the stock fluctuating between $300–$500, even if it never returns to its former glory.
⚠️ Final Thoughts:
This is not a safe investment. This is not a long-term guarantee. This is a high-risk speculative trade.
Some stocks fall and never recover.
Others fall… rest… and take off again.
I’ve set multiple price alerts, and if we see anything around $4 or lower, that’s my risk zone.
Until then:
